Ah. Fundraising. A commonly misunderstood topic. In today’s small little nugget, I make the comparison that fundraising is like using money to change your project’s momentum. Momentum is made up of ‘stuff’, ‘speed’ and a ‘direction’. When you fundraise, you kinda take a punt on how much of those things might change as a result of you spending someone else’s money. That doesn’t mean you’ll progress – only that one or more of those things might change. Your job as a founder throughout that is to hold on for dear life, whispering sweet-nothings into the Bull’s ear, hoping it won’t throw you off. If there’s a question you have or topic you’d like covered, just leave a comment.
